Approved?

Went to the interview today.. at 1st i was wearing a Tshirt and jeans, then changed into a formal shirt.. cuz i worried that being too casual is no good.

So i after lunch with yen and xian, i took the putra line over to Kelana Jaya from WangsaMaju, walao, 40 minutes. Once i reached there, i asked around for directions and happened to meet a Chinese taxi driver who only will drive me for RM5. Since i don't know the area, and i'm almost late i paid up.

5 minutes later we reached the building, then i went in. Met 3 other students from my course there, who are also going for interview.. We filled in a form, etc. then went into the boss room. Actually, now only i realize i don't know the guy's name. HE DIDN'T INTRO HIMSELF THROUGHOUT THE INTERVIEW. Ok then. I shall refer to him as the Boss.

Boss asked us some questions, then proceeded to show us Flystudio's projects. Whew... so pro! Really good works, i pretended to act casual and normal. Lol! Have no idea how they did most of the projects. And erm. It's a cool looking place, all the people there work in casual wear.. the desktops look uber awesome (PCs, haha!) laughing and gaming. And most of them are in their 20's. I

I SUDDENLY FELT LIKE AN OLD MAN.. i was the only one in the office wearing a formal shirt. Even the other interviewers wore casual. Boss didn't seem to mind.

So how did the interview go? Em, i'm feeling pretty positive, as Boss talked like we are already accepted..

"Let me see ur works."
We show our portfolio, one by one.

"Um, um, um.. hm ur motion graphics not bad wor... This one also not bad.. This one ok ok... Um Um..."
I noticed he did not say any of our works is GOOD. just not bad. I'm not surprised... haha... comparing our standard and Flystudio's. CAnnot FiGHt Lar.

"So.. u guys are planning to intern for 3 months right?"
Yes.. sir.

"WAAA U all come from Wangsa Maju? So far... i think u all need to rent a room nearby to save the trouble.."
At this point i was like HUH? We approved jor a?

"When u are free? Oh, February... i see i see. So do i need to type out a confirmation letter? ok, here is our namecard, you guys take first.... "

"Right! Going to send you the letter A.S.A.P. So i'll see you guys in mid-Feb kay? Hopefully got some tiny projects you can handle... bye bye.."

I did not quote him exactly.. but that was how the situation generally went. One of the disadvantages, if i plan to work there is the distance.. i now know how FREAKING FAR IS KELANA JAYA!!!! No-man's land lar that one.. why their office so far.. =.= And the interview was in Mandarin and Cantonese. Wahaha.. my tongue tripped a few times. Luckily i managed to survive.
